Hi guys,

I'm new to the site and am very impressed with the pictures that have been posted. Just wanted to share a couple of shots taken at the DUCOMI pier in Dumaguete. But encountering problems on how to post. It seems my files exceed the limit by a mile. Any advice I can get to post would be appreciated. I'm using photoshop to edit my pictures.

Hi Rommel,

Why don't you resize them to a more manageable size. Then you can upload them to Flickr, Multiply, Zoto, Photobucket, Picasaweb, etc. and link them here...

If I am not mistaken, the forum uses BBCode... so you can do something like this

Try flickr and get their uploader :) Its much easier cause you just upload and se the resize on the program itself. If you're using windows you can also get the program "Pixresizer" so it quickly resizes all or few :)

When posting do as what Raymund suggested. to get the url just right click and copy URL :)

If you still want to post the pic on the thread just copy the add of the pic itself and enclose it in img tags or click the picture button on the reply box and paste link there. For flickr images, on the url remove everything after ".jpg"

And a bigger size like 320x240 or even 640x480 to better appreciate the details...

i'm also new here. i tried to post at the portraiture gallery. my file size is 346(width) x 518pixels (height). it was only 69k after i resized it for the web.
when i made the post what i got was "pending approval".
did i do anything wrong? are there prerequisites? rules perhaps? in order for newbies like me to make a post at the gallery.
please enlighten me.
