Brought about by this post (http://www.digitalphotographer.com.ph/forum/showpost.php?p=54774&postcount=27) and other post related to that matter, I have thought of making this thread.
Back when I was so much into warez, I was a moderator of a warez forum. Anyway, as the forum grew, it was noticeable that many posts are becoming inane and was cluttering most of the threads good for discussions. Specially from a board that needs an X amount of postcount to make a request.
The Thank you button was implemented.
It was a gif image, like this http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/4001/thanksob0.gif that is place above the thread. When clicked, will place a thank you note underneath the original posters post, like this
http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/7088/tytr1.jpg
http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/7844/thankyoubuttondz9.jpg
Now, DPP is vBulletin Version 3.5.4 and I have yet to see a hack/mod on these kind of boards [ours is phpbb] but I know, a little google-fu will yield results =)
Here's one: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showmods.php
Certainly a work for the admin but this will surely lessen if not eliminate the short replies.
Just an idea.
My apologies for the screenshot of my post, it's late here and im getting sleepy :)
