Wow, I also own the Sony Ericsson G700 (brown).
Never had the chance of using it cause of my SLR...

I had the same feeling before. The slr increases our image standards so much no camera phone image quality isnt good enough anymore.:)hehehe
When I bought this phone (i have the brown too)..I actually got it for its camera..it produces this over-contrasted images..which looks great on its screen..the colors really popping out. Last week while playing around with it..I realized..BW thrives on contrasts right..and since I carry my phone around much more than my slr (because of size and weight:))..it will be great at capturing some street candids while Im on my field work..every now and then.:) Have'nt got that lucky yet though...I have to train my eyes more.
I have yet to have a collection of images just like Nick Turpin's. Awwee..I love his flickr photos..theyre very funny.
