Hey,Hey Kids,
Just got back from Dema in Orlando, Florida (The largest Scuba trade show in the world)
Here is my report.
I gave a seminar on Philippine diving, it went well and was attended by about 30 people. It funny how American still don't thinlk the Philippines has good diving and they always get surprised with my presentations.
Aquatica of Canada have 2 new housings one for the Nikon D200 and one for the Canon 30D ($2500) great value. both look great and they also have a new large viewfinder for all their housings, but it does not come cheap ($1200.00)
Sea & Sea have a few new strobes YS 27 DX and the YS 250 DX
Light and Motion have a new housing for the D200 ($4,500)
As far as publications go, Fathoms magazine have really established themselves the the premier underwater magazine. (check out my portfolio in the issue 17)
Some of the hottest destinations are the Bahamas for Tiger sharks and Great Hammerheads, Raja Ampat(indonesia) for its Biodiversity,Lembeh for Critters, Isla Guadalupe for Great whites and Galapagos for Fish and big animals. But we all know the Philippines kicks ass.
more to come cheers
