i'm working here in Abu Dhabi and after ramadan ma tratransfer ako sa KSA,
ask lang regarding DSLR in Jeddha, ang tanong ko ay
1. pwede bang i pasok ang DSLR sa KSA??
2. d ba ako mahaharang or d ba sila mag tatanong kung saan ko gagamitin?
kinakabahan kc ako na baka harangin nila @ i confiscate.

I uncle work there for more than 30 years. For no known reason he was immediately sent back home (Philippines) last June.

His exit is dubious, why? His point of exit is at Kuwait wherein he entered there at Jeddah [ksa], I was in doubt because he was supposed to exit at Jeddah, or somewhere in that area of KSA, unless there's no flight on the said date. Just don't know what really happen.

During that time his Passport is about to expire, upon arrival here in the Phils. and he was supposed to return their, he was questioned why is it that his passport has no exit stamp of KSA. I'm not so familiar about the procedure though, but to my mind he was "naisahan" by his employer where he serve for almost half of his life.

Sad to say, my tito already passaway. Maybe because of stress, constantly thinking that he might go back again.

So that's the story.

Now I'm looking unto consideration of whom I can talk to ask of what really happens. Yes, I'm in search of the truth.

This is a delicate matter... there are many cases of abuses everyday here..
we can't do nothing since we don't have support from higher authorities..
this is not our country and nobody listen(communication problem-i don't speak arabic fluently) .. i don't even know also what to do if this things happens to me.

I currently live in Jeddah and I'm looking into buying a new DSLR soon. I'll contact DPP Jeddah once I am able to save up for an entry-level DSLR. Currently weighing between Nikon D3000, D40, and Canon EOS 1000D.

Wow, pwede po ba akong sumali sa club nyo? I'm also here at Jeddah about 5 years now. I studied under Mr. Jo Avila just recently nung last vacation ko nung January para back-up plan sa if ever I decide mag-exit next year.

I tried kasi sumama sa mga society ng mga engineers (di po ako engineer BTW, salimpusa lang ako. hehe!) kaso parang di ako in-entertain much ng mga photographers nila, parang feeling ko they look me as if I'm gonna be a competitor sa mga sidelines nila. hehe!

Sir, try mo ung mga branch ng Abdul Wahed, there are 3 branches sa Balad, 2 are in Corniche & 1 in Queens Mall malapit sa Al Amoudi Exchange at Al Mahmal mall. But for me I prefer to buy sa Queens, mas kumpleto at ayus makitungo ang sales clerk, they'll give you discount once you are known as "Suki". hehe! Hope it helps!:Grin:
