Hi DPP,

Is there a photographers' club in the Rizal area? I'm browsing through the threads in EB announcements but I haven't seen any so far. I can see a lot of DPP members residing in Rizal area though so I'm just wondering if there's any club being organized here. I have some friends who would love to join if there's any. We're located in Angono (Artists' Paradise)!:Grin::Grin::Grin:

AFAIK, there's a big group in Rizal and they called themselves as "SLR" means Samahang Litratista ng Rizal. I saw their exhibit in Sta. Lucia Mall.. Try to keep in touch with them.

That's good to hear! Did you try to join the group? Have you seen any of them on the threads here?

Some of us get together regularly at the Gate for a few rounds of beer.

We then haul out our laptops and try new PS techniques after the sixth or seventh round of beer :D

We aren't a club. We're just a group of guys who are based in the area of Rizal who like to get together once in a while to drink beer and talk about photography. :D

[The only activity we do together at the gate is to drink beer and swap stories :D]

I Reside more often in Cainta nowadays. I dreaded the years my parents exiled me in pililla hahaha all rice fields and no malls! All chicken and rooster but no people! :D

Since most of us are interested to have a photo community around Rizal and make this thread active, I will going to spearhead to make an event for all of us.

Our SLR group met last night for a round of beer and snacks.

There is a SLR group in Rizal called Samahang Litratista ng Rizal.

Our SLR group is called Samahang Lasenggero ng Rizal. :D

We usually get together once a week at the Gate (along Ortigas extension near Valley Fair and Max's Fried Chicken).

It's an opportunity for us to talk about photography, discuss upcoming shoots and share a bit of post processing techniques (among other things :D).

There are some sessions though that people from outside of the Rizal area join us.

Our group name then changes to DSLR (Dinadayo na Samahang Lasenggero ng Rizal).

I've been to Escalon falls. For me, it will not work if you'll be going there with a group. It's like a waste passage from subdivision above the falls.. Since it is full moon this weekend, I prefer nightscape. :)

i jus got my DSLR as a gift last christmas.
pero when i was still using a P&S camera ive been very interested in photography, wala pa nga lang resource to buy that time hehe:Grin:

lets get support from medyo matagal na nagphophotography.
perhaps si sir carlo can help us out. :Grin:

aside sa shoot, lets have some sort of small group discussions were we can brainstorm

I don't really consider myself a pioneer. There are other photogs in Rizal that have been doing this for a lot longer. (The SLR group, for example.) I'm definitely looking forward to the discussions and sharing of ideas. Google can only take you so far. :)
