View Full Version : Softbox Brand
Niko Villegas 11-09-2006, 12:44 PM newbie question here, what brand of softbox would be nice and dimensions, anyone who could enlighten me on this one would be greatly appreciated,
@nin's
what kind of softbox did you use for the workshop in Davao, yung dalawang malalaki nakita ko sa FPS forums . . .
Nick_Espino 11-09-2006, 01:07 PM Chimera and Photoflex are standards. Dimension is relative to the task.

Niko Villegas 11-09-2006, 02:44 PM how big were they? yung ginamit niyo sa workshop?
nino_carandang 11-09-2006, 02:47 PM 90x120 (I think)

Jo Avila 11-12-2006, 11:11 PM The nice thing about the softboxes being sold by Aperture is that they use fit almost any brand of studio strobe. You just have to purchase the appropriate mount.
Niko Villegas 11-16-2006, 05:16 PM wala ako pera eh . . . kaya DIY na lang . . . all for under $100 hehehe

KiX Santos 11-28-2006, 08:00 AM nice setup sir niko...
what kind of bulbs did you use for those floodlights??
Louieescobar 11-28-2006, 08:46 AM Nice set-up niko! Where did you get the white fabric?
Niko Villegas 12-01-2006, 02:29 AM @Kix
the bulbs are regular 500W halogen bulbs on each stand so basically i have a 2000w output with 4 lamps, you can easily find them at hardware stores like Ace
@Louie
the fabric is called "ripstop nylon" it has small lines that form grids, try your local fabric store
thanks for the appreciation, i really have no budget to get real equipment so im improvising :)
KiX Santos 12-01-2006, 02:47 AM thanks sir niko...

I already bought worklights at home depot for $5.00/pc and it really worked. I'm still working on my reflectors and softbox. I want to try the way you have set up your studio.
I have saved a lot of money and it works, thanks to you!!! :Grin:
