How much do you usually charge for pictures that will be used for a calendar?

A friend asked me to take pictures that will be used for a calendar for their office in our alma mater(public/national university). It will be a table calendar, the usual 5-6 inches by 9 inches. I already explained to my friend my capability as a hobbyist, and she already saw some of my pics. She still wants me to take the pictures with some compensation for my work.

I'll be shooting 15 works of art in our school that are related to their work. Statues, paintings, murals and the likes. They will give me a list of the art works and I will give them a CD of my shots.

How much do you usually charge for this? I need some figure to give her of what the usual rate is and will adjust according to my capability. If you have other tips it will be a big help. I only have Canon 350d, 18-55mm IS, 55-250mm IS, 50mm 1.8, 430ex, some filters(CPL and ND) and tripod. I might also borrow my brothers UWA 10-22 if needed. Thanks!

Some questions:
1. Prepare a shot list. Check or inquire about sizes and kinds of paintings - oil? watercolor? pastel?
2. What about lights? Are you not using lights, especially for sculptures so you can provide drama? What about backgrounds?
3. Have you asked them about their budget for photography. This entire exercise might be useless if they are expecting you to do this work pro bono.
