MAN, my ears are still ringing. this is very well my first try at gig photography. took this a couple of hours ago at purple haze qc. where, with some stroke of luck, their feature was one of the sickest norwegian trash metal bands ive ever heard/ seen (this isn't saying much being that the only norwegian musician i know at the time was lene marlin).
aaanyways, before the set i was planning on using the 50mm seeing the place was pretty dark with limited light. but these all changed during the show when i found myself a couple of inches away from the biggest 6.5' 200+ lbs norwegian trash metal vocalist ive ever came upon.
my brains at that time was screaming "wide angle".
now the dilema was, even though pretty cool , the 17-40mm i borrowed from nino was an F4. dind't really know if it was good enough for that situation, that being the inexperienced n00b that i am.
but honestly , you really don't think much of it when you're scrunched up under a table that is being pounded by this norwegian beast along with the hyped-up crowd. so "fk it " i said to myself, im using a flash. and here are the results:

comments from people who are used to taking these kind of pictures are very very very much appreciated. :)
