I have attended an EB and been following some threads. One thing that I have noticed is that Photography is a MAN's World.

In my opinion and observation, Men are more focus on the technical side of photography while women are more focus on the artistic side of photography (right brain - left brain concept).

I want to join a group of people whos passion is to take pictures and is not afraid to express and more focus on their feminine side.

I am usualy free every weekend. Since some are from the south and some are from the north we can meet halfway like makati. We can have coffee and have a meet and greet. :-) If you guys want, the people from the south can have a car pool and the people in the north can have the same :-). *excited*

yup me too, weekends would be the best. Sunday's my scooter ride usually, but I bring my gear everywhere :)

If you guys are willing to travel to Alabang. I can fix the permit to shoot in Alabang Town Center (ATC).

It would be a nice first EB/shoot since we are totally embracing "Girl power" what more way to express our passion and have a photoshoot in a MALL. hehehe

I agree! we should be FIERCE!!!

We can do this on our 2nd EB. I know a studio in Paranaque that we can rent. The set up of the studio is already complete. they have lights, backdrop, etc. The owners wife is a make up artist too. We can use her services, since the owner is a member of muntinlupa photographers club. We just need to reserve a date, have the money to reserve it, have people take pictures and have a model. And we are good to go. :)

I will work on the permit since I have done it before.

As for the itinerary, Im thinking:
noon - 130pm = meet and greet (since this is all girls club im sure we have ALOT :Grin: of things to talk about)
2pm - 4pm = photoshoot (usually ATC will only give 2-3 hours of photoshoot)
4pm - 5pm = reconvene (we can do sharing, or discuss the next EB)

If all you ladies agree with this or if you have any ideas you are welcome to let us know. I will work on the permit for the 28th of February. Our meeting time is not yet fix so if you have conflicts and suggestions please feel free to do so. :-)

Since alot of you girl friends missed our first (1st) EB. We already have a tentative date for our second (2nd) EB. This will be on March 14, 2009 (Saturday)

Consider this as our SAVE the DATE message.
As to where, what and time this will be a TBA (to be annouced). We are thinking of a street shoot.
We will have to ask our dear ol friend, Carmz, to help us set this one for us but you are so very welcome to post if you have any suggestions.

i'm not sure about flickr's advantage over the other photo hosting websites. all i know for sure is that only 200 of your latest photos uploaded will be visible in flickr if you sign up for the free account.

also, from my experience, photos from multiply doesn't appear in this forum while both flickr and photobucket are ok. hth :)

you can upload as many pictures as you want; all you have to do is abide the monthly 2 GB bandwidth limit. (this is if you don't have the PRO account)

edit photo titles, tags and create photo sets. (this allows you to easily manage your pictures)

There are countless of third-party tools and software to work with your pictures.
and t’s cheap: $24.95 per year is practically no money at all for all the functionality and storage you get, this is if you decide to go PRO :Grin:

the first time is always scary. but one will be more focused on succeeding street shoots. it would be advisable to be always with a group and do not stray away from the group or be out of sight, at least, of the group, to avoid any untoward incidents.

binondo / chinatown area is pretty safe... just don't go too far into the san fernando area going into the squatters... stick to ongpin and the more crowded streets...

This is going to be in Krame. If you guys want to shoot there, Ill ask if we need a permit and I can work on the details for us. Just let us know if you guys are interested. From Quiapo...Sta. Cruz....Binondo all the way to almost Divisoria...then we headed to American War Memorial and finished the day with coffee at Starbucks on HighStreet :D

It was supposed to be Binondo Photowalk...but as shooters loaded with camera...long battery life and enough memory....The Binondo photo walk started in Quiapo...Sta. Cruz...Binondo....ate lunch..then headed to SM Manila....off to High Street...then to American War Memorial....then back to High Street to finish the day...:D

do we still need a permit for that Event ? maybe they'll allow people to take shots without permits since it's an event... just like the one in Greenhills, we were taking photos since we were the audience...let me do some investigating and see who's hosting this event..:Dum::Grin:

they start as early as 7 am (practice runs) until 2pm (race start) until the event lasts until about 8. so its a whole day affair.

It was just me and my husband and some friends who went to Manila Zoo. We were looking for cheap thrills over the weekend.

would you like to bring in the dipp girls to the studio for a studio 101 workshop? will just give studio basics (i.e. what are studio lights and how to use them) and have models for the girls to shoot :) from gerrick hernandez (keylight studio)
