last night as i took out my sd from the d80 i noticed some very thin layer of oil or liquid on one side of the sd card.
to best illustrated the label of the card is facing you and the connector points are not visible to you and facing your left - you would see the speck on the upper left corner (where the cut/bent corner is)
could this be the lubrication for the mechanism that holds the card in place?
i tried putting the sd card in out and it's coming from the camera, but it lessened eventually.
any inputs would be appreciated. :( thank you!

if u look closely the smudge is there on the cut corner of the card... :(

That isn't the norm for any camera. It would be best to have your gear checked ASAP :D

The SD card doesn't show anything and i have talked with one of my friend who is a Nikon Rep here in the US, sbi nya na to send your camera to the shop right away.
I also have a D80 but never encountered this type of problem.

thank you Sir Louie for asking your friend. I will bring the camera to the shop tomorrow, and hopefully, have it replaced. will update you guys soon!
btw, there's no possibility that such liquid comes from the sd card right?
