Hi guys,

Just want to ask what camera case do you use for your LX3? I heard in singapore the
LX3 there has a free black lumix leather case. Do you guys know of any alternative case
for the LX3?

Rica, The leather case looks sexy and gorgeous but is cumbersome to use in real life (at least for me it is) What I use right now is a Lowepro Tasca 30, Php990 at Infomax . It has a magnetic closure system that snaps shut automatically :)

I use a Lowepro D-Pods 30... It's a snug fit, but it works for me. Cost me only P690 during PhotoWorld.

I also bought a D-Pods 30 for my LX3 at Photoworld! :D It's a tight fit when returning the camera though. I have two more cases for my LX3, a Lowepro Terraclime (better fit than the D-Pod but my wife didn't like it and criticized it :Thinking:) and a Crumpler "The Bundle" medium.

my LX3 came with a freebie Tarmac bag but it's too tight fitting and it has a zipped opening that i'm scared might scratch the LCD so instead i use a Crumpler 1 million dollar home

Rica, I use a hand strap and a removable neck loop. I just feel that the LX3 is too small to use the supplied neckstrap with.

My wifey has such butterfingers, so I insisted that she wear the strap when shooting with the LX3.

It's all up to you...

i use a hand strap too coz i wear buttoned shirts and belts and i worry that i'll scratch the lcd if the cam is hanging from my neck. different strokes for different folks :)

I've removed my neckstrap and use a handstrap instead that came from a PQI flash drive. :D

I'm pretty sure the ones for cellphones will work on the LX3. I think the cellphone shops in Greenhills sell handstraps.

@rica, i don't carry the camera bag when my handbag is big enough - it's extra baggage ;) here's what i use instead - a vanity case that fits right into my handbag :Grin:

Using OPtech Camera Strap I bought from Jerry Tieng......can be a wrist strap, Neck loop or even a thumb strap. My bag is a Crumpler Bundle.

i am inclining to get the tasca 30
but it seems it has limited stocks...
went to infomax park square as well as in megamall...
and they don't have any stocks...

tasca 30 available at sm city annex n. edsa for 750.00

So far I'm happy with the case logic I had bought last week for almost 500 pesos. It fits perfectly even with the neck strap attached.

I use the Case Logic SLDC-202 (http://www.caselogic.com/compact_camera_flash_camcorder_case/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=133809&productid=1347112). I like the external armored protection and foam padded interiors. I can let the case just tumble inside a larger bag without having to worry about the camera getting knocked about and damaged.
