hi there. is there a nikon counterpart for the canon 24-105L f4 IS? Thanks
doesnt have to be exactly 24-105. But something that has VR, constant aperture, weather sealed and a lil zoom 3x at least i guess....for walkaround

Hmm... I don't think there is a constant aperture one at that range but you can opt for the 18-200 with VR, 24-120 with VR or the 18-135 w/o VR. :)

A G lens means or implies that the lens only has a focus or zoom ring and basically is absent of an aperture ring. A Nikon Pro-lens doesn't always have a bronze ring to it, but most of them are well built and has constant apertures. You can also differentiate them from the rest because they are more expensive. :) HTH

I am actually waiting or looking for something like that too. My wedding photographer friend here uses that lens and he covers more range than I do. I use the 17-55 f/2.8 and that is only half its range that's why I have to carry two cameras with me most of the time during the ceremony - one with the 17-55 and the other with the 70-200 VR.
Canon even have the 17-55 f/2.8 IS. I wish Nikon would have that too.
