I got myself a Superheadz Demekin recently, a plastic toy camera with a fisheye lens thst uses 110 film. This is what it looks like:

Here are some test shots, taken around Eastwood, using a Fuji 200 110 cartridge. Scans by Digiprint:

@rafi

yes, they do sell Demekins at Oh Shoot! they also sell the film at 80 bucks a pop, asa 200 24 shots expired.

there's a camera there by the same manufacturer called the "Blackbird, Fly" and it is absolutely SICK (in the superlative sense of the word). It's a TLR made almost entirely of pretty colored plastic that uses 135 film. I WANT!

wow, i want this one as well. i have a yashieca TLR that looks pretty much this one if it's not antiquated. Though it uses 160.

160 film? or 120? i think some yashica models accept 220 film pa and other format.. yashica is a true TLR and much better than that plastic psuedo TLR. it's not really a TLR. but if you really like it get one. :) i'm interested with your yashica TLR. let me know what model and if you are willing to sell.

Why is it "not really a TLR"? Just curious. Thanks.

hi nathaniel.. check the specs. actually its a scalefocus cam..

Blackbird, Fly camera features:

• Colors: Blue, Black, White, Red or Orange
• Lens: f7 33mm/ photo lens
• Shutter speed: 1/125
• Aperture: f7 (cloudy) f11 (fine weather)
• Focus: Visual distance estimated measurement (0.8/1.5/2/2.5/3/4/5/10/∞)
• Weight: Body/210g., Case/ 130g.
• Film type: 135 (35mm) film
• Camera type: 35mm twin lens reflex
• Formats: Normal (24x36mm), Square (24x24mm), Full (no frame)
• Manual: Japanese

hmm. only 2 apertures? toy camera marketed as twin lens reflex..even lubitel isn't a true TLR but thats another story.

got this from APUG.org

"The viewfinder is a bit strange. It doesn't seem to have a mirror and groundglass, but something like a prism, and what you see in the finder is a kind of circular image, like a big version of the finder on a P&S camera, but with a 90-degree prism in it, so you look down instead of straight on. I guess it's like a larger version of the 90-degree finder on the Yashica T4s, but it's got a focusing lens."

...and they are smaller than a real TLR. I just held one this afternoon at a shop. Its light and plasticky but really looks cool especially the matte black one. Couldnt figure out how to focus unitl i read about it just now.

Id like to get one but when I asked for the price (HKD 890, about P5300+), you could get a real TLR (Yashica) for the same price on Ebay.
