A cousin has asked me to photograph the lovebirds he is raising (to sell). These are all in big cages (kasya ang tao sa loob ng cage). He needs the photos for his website and marketing materials.

I would appreciate some tips in photographing these birdies. What are available for me to use is a Canon 350d, kit lens, Canon 50mm 1.8 IIand a Canon 90-300, 580ex flash........

I use very shallow DOF when shooting animals inside cages to throw other distractions out of focus. I used a 300mm lens to capture this at f5.6.

i'll post some more.

by the way, are we related? your surname sounds family. hehe
