hi. my guess is that PGMA just borrowed that camera from one of the malacanang photographers being inducted. i'll check what camera the President uses. will keep you posted.

The last Nikon PCPO (Presidential Close-in Photographer's Office) uses Nikon was a year back with D2h, but after some D2h was found to had defects (meterring problem) they shift to Canon. Jerry Carual, who is friend of mine and who is the chief photog of PCPO, before uses also Nikon, but you know, we used to cover the Nikon name with electitrical tape because ccording to photo guys, by using the camera, they are marketing the camera and Nikon does even give a damn. hehehe. Reuters uses Canon, AFP uses Nikon, AP uses Canon, PCPO uses more Canon, and less Nikon, Inquirer dump Nikon for Canon and also Phil STAR. But I hear from one of the photogs of the PDI that now they are complaints of using Canon... hmmm
