Enuf talk, here is my "cheap" all-flash wireless lighting setup ( of course SB600 not counted since I got it at 11K)

The others just cost < 4K
1 vivitar manual flash (old )
2 optical slave flash adaptor
1 IR trigger
The effect... sorry boys, no i-TTL. I'll share another configuration that does -iTTL with the same gadgets.

you need light meter if no TTL...:) especially when shooting with positive transparencies.

Sir question, can the Morris trigger the SB600 remotely? If I have an SB600 and the trigger can I put the SB600 on a llight stand and use the morris to triggerr it giving me a single light setup. Thanks

Darwin, what camera are you using? If you are using a CLS camera (Nikon D50 is not a CLS capable camera without SB800), you can trigger the SB-600 remotely.
SB-600 can't be triggered by an IR because SB-600 doesn't have SU-4 (slave) mode.

@ darwin, no. you need to attach a slave receiver to the sb600.

Has anybody tried these cheap optical slaves with the SB600? I've tried it with my sunpak 383 without ill effects but I'm curious if it works fine and wont damage the more expensive SB600 in any way.
Im asking because since the SB600 does not have pc sync, but the sunpak has, so I plan to use the el cheapo boling radio trigger on the sunpak, and then trigger the sb600 as 2nd flash via cheapo optical slave. Just wanna make sure I dont end up breaking the SB, even if in theory it should be fine, better na to ask around muna.

What is a cheap alternative but using radio instead of optical or IR?
