levi, did you use mostly your long lens for these kids shots? Was it the Nikkor 80-200mm f2.8? good color and sharp photos.

Yep it was my 80-200 f/2.8 lens. I really LOVE that glass.. even if its the main cause of my back problem nowadays (its so darn heavy!!!)... but its insanely SHARP!!!:Grin:

I think these Parc Cruz pics are a bit overboard. Oversharpened everything, especially the eyes, these kids look like they are possessed, or snorting rugby, or something. Maybe this is the flavor of the month, this type of photoshopping. I much prefer the other photos of Parc Cruz at his gallery here which I found quie nice. The kids look more natural and quite simply, kids.

Thanks Gabriel I'll take note of that ;) I may have gone a bit overboard because I wanted a more striking effect than a natural effect. :)

I think they look spooky coz the kids are dirty. If that's what he's trying to achieve, then the overboard , over sharpenning, or what ever function you call it worked. Parc, show us the same processing with clean kids. I want to see if their eyes are possessed:Evil: :Evil:

Hi Parc,

Your gallery here on this site has plenty of potential. I think you have a good "eye" for photography. I only questioned the three images that you posted on this thread because they looked overboard. You even sharpened the snot on the boys faces. I guess you may have wanted to emphasize the look but again, I thought it was too much. Same with the eyes. I applaud you for your openness for some mild criticism.

Thanks, sir Derick! I would have liked to post a clean looking kid :Grin: but I was going for the "dirtier" skin tone. For some reason, I find them a lot better on pictures than a cleaner, fairer complexion.
