I tried logging in but it won't work in the main page (portal). However, when i tried clicking on to the forum page, i appear as logged in. Is anybody experiencing this problem as well? I tried logging in a different computer and i still encounter the problem.

I am also experiencing this scenario since last night... I kept on logging in on the main page then after I was redirected to the main page, it is shown that I am not logged in. But, whenever I check the forum page, it says that I am logged.

hi guys,

simply click on any of the links aside from the portal to enable log-in. the portal now is a flash page, hosting the new canon ads preventing log-in. we're working on it as we speak.

Thanks Nin!
That's what I thought. Even the logon fields left of the page is no longer displaying.
However, I like the ladybug in the "A".

Thanks for the note. At least I am not alone experiencing this. I got logged in by trying to view "Today's Post". It didn't display the threads because I was not logged, so it displayed a logon page without the Flash movie. :) [lucky that my mind is sometimes working even if frozen in winter]

I never noticed this problem because I always go directly to the login page via the search area. However here are some quirks I noticed.

The Seagate flash ad at the top goes over the drop-down boxes of the forum links, so it's hard to use the quick access and search features. There's a quick runaround at this you need your forum designer to do on that area, or you can possibly move the ads in the middle of the post thread. (Just a suggestion).

Also I experience random auto-logouts and I hope a ticker box to stay permanently logged-in is available. (I know it's not a proxy or ip problem on my part, it's just a forum rule/setting)

Thanks for reading...

If you hit the 'remember me' at the log-in as someone suggested , DPP doesnt seem to remember or is experiencing some mental block lately coz its not working on my end and other subscribers end.. Whats happening here ? ..... Admin Can you pls enlighten ?

Am practically a newbie here at DPP but am experiencing techy probs and i believe something terribly wrong is happening lately at DPP.. Log in problem is one- DPP doesnt seem to remember or is experiencing some mental blocks even if you hit countless number of times 'remember me' during log- ins... Second , uploading fotos - DPP takes an eternity to approve pending images .. Mine is already 4 days old close to having spider webs on it and is still sitting waiting for approval.. I hope this is just a glitch being experienced by DPP or else i will go elsewhere.. Its a pity becoz am a regular buyer of DPP mag.

The easiest way to log-in from the portal page is to click on a recent topic, then click Today's Posts on the Top Menu from there...

all along i thought i was the only one experiencing the problem (log-in). nevertheless, i get to read the recent topics by taking the Today's Posts link.

(not actually "log in" problem) but uts a problem :D

before, i was logged in and shouted out on the portal page
then posted a new thread. when im about to post. the screen says i was not logged in so i should log in to post the tread.

then by that time, i cannot log in, (wrong password)
but im 1billion percent sure i typed the right password
so decided to click the forgot password button after i tried the allowed logging in with wrong password
i key-in my email add and it says that my email wasnt a member of dpp.
so o decided to create a new account. with the same username
its available (no problem a all :D ) so i thinked that my old account in dpp i deleted but i dint know why
then i checked the shout out box at portal
i saw my shout out with no name
then even called it mr. no name
ahm,, just sharing,, may help or may not :D
i think the day after that, the portal page screwed up

goodluck moderators :D

There seems to be also an IP problem on the hosting end, it might be the server too almost hitting the traffic cap, and refreshing every new month. DPP might contemplate upgrading the host server if it is on a shared hosting platform...

Sorry about the problem with portal log-in guys. Server has nothing to do with it, virus nor was hacked.. the portal page was "somewhat" duplicated to give way for an ad banner made for new year. It seems that the login module duplicated had some issues with the actual vbulletin login script thus we experienced login problems. You will notice some elements such as our beloved shoutbox went missing as well since it cant be duplicated as well as other modules form the original portal.

I already reverted it back to the default portal script, so everything should be working fine now.

We apologize for the inconvenience folks.

Good day Admins,

Please can someone check a new joiner's account, he tried to register with dpp a couple of time and after completing the registration, he was unable to log in. Here are the usernames he registered:

Marion, marion, Marionmendoza; he used the same email addy for all three (autoguru75@yahoo.com) (autoguru75@yahoo.com)

he is trying to join our team (teamd40) but he is unable to log in and participate in the discussions on our thread.

Hope you can assist. Thanks.

I have received two PM's so far from users who were able to register but are unable to post.

The users's registered usernames are: mackyboi and jvds

I have advised both to re-register with their firstname and lastname as their username, to conform with forum rules and regulations.

I'm not sure if either of them has done so, because I have had no more feedback from them since my replies.

For those who would like to sign up to join the forum, please please read the guidelines first. It will save you and a few other people loads of effort when you do.
