is there any club here in the south?parañaque, alabang and cavite area, i am just a newbie and i can't seem to find any group here in the south

I would like to join you EB's in the future, not on the 10th yet as I am in deep shit with yearend close (accounting/finance stuff).

Note : The objective of this EB is to meet and introduce, hoping that we maybe able to secure a permit to shoot then nice opportunities will be open up for us.

hi all... may i suggest that we consolidate the south shooters into one group for easier organization? right now we have a list going on in the Muntinlupa Photographer's Club for a studio shoot EB on Jan. 24... i also see the some of the same people posting here and there... what do you guys think?

my suggestion... we can use this thread to be the main one due to the title, since the other one specifically indicates 'Muntinlupa' in the title... unless we create a new one, i.e. South Shooters

A good suggestion gerrick, at least it will cut the confusion between other forums. I'm also from the south (my hometown is laguna though residing in makati:)). How far does the South Shooters are covered, I read through this forum and some south shooters came from Las Pinas, Muntinlupa and part of Laguna which are more adjacent in the proximity of Metro Manila (i.e. Pacita, San Pedro). Will it represent also those from Laguna province or Batangas? I myself is looking for a club in Laguna. Just a bit confused.:Grin::)

@gilbert... good question on the boundaries of south shooters... usually when we mean south it covers the south of manila (i.e. paranaque, las pinas and muntinlupa) as well as the adjacent areas such as san pedro, laguna and parts of cavite... this is really hard to answer... but i guess we can generally organize the group to the existing coverage as mentioned above, but other shooters from southern luzon (i.e. laguna, cavite, batangas, etc.) are most welcome to join... it really is a matter of accessibility when photography opportunities or EBs arise... if you are able and willing to travel then by all means join the group... this is still not a formal group, but a group of people in generally the same vicinity who like to photograph and enhance skills.

Gerrick, you do know that there is an official photo club called the South Shooters? Many of their members are here on DPP. :)

as per my suggestion, the DPP forum has so many threads and having an initiative to consolidate 2 threads with the same discussion would be of help to viewers, especially newbies

This is just a thread (as name implies) and these people coming together doesn't even have a plan of creating another group or club. What they want is a simple EB.

So, if anyone feels that this coming together of hobbyist on that area threatens their (group/club) existence don't be alarm coz they are not planning to do so.

Let's encourage this kind of camaraderie and exploit more on our creativity and enthusiasm for this kind of activity.

@gerrick. I don't think anybody was/is offended. I just mentioned it just to avoid confusion as you mentioned consolidating into one "group". And you are right SSPS has been quiet. Maybe you should revive it. Try contacting Aly Reyes. It would be nice to get something going again for us shooters based in the South. By the way can you PM me your cell number again. Might need a studio to shoot.
