View Full Version : tagaytay bloom
Carlo R. Lopez 10-27-2006, 03:11 PM took some shots of some flowers in tagaytay mountains. was surprised at how good the 17-55 can get for shooting flowers. was my first time to do the sort with this lens. will experiment again this weekend

I wouldn't call that lens which almost flew around the world a lemon! :)

was worth the wait. a journey of almost 15,000 miles and across 2 continents
zandy_marantal 10-28-2006, 12:38 PM Nice capture Carlo. I don't find the bokeh of the 17-55 particularly pleasing but in your image, that was not the case.
I also thought of getting a 500d but opted for a set of Kenko extension tubes instead. Sadly, I haven't even had a chance to use it other than to test if it works when I got it a couple of months ago. :(
regards.

May I ask how much was the shipping cost?
Carlo R. Lopez 10-28-2006, 12:51 PM May I ask how much was the shipping cost?
i got the lens from Donzo88:) he shipped to the wrong person so the lens began its 2 month journey across the united states. all handcarried by close friends. shipping was negligible but the anticipation was a nightmare. was worth the wait though
Gil Tuzon 10-28-2006, 03:35 PM I like the color contrast and some of the blurring/softness kind of lending some dreamy effect.
cheers,
gil
Reyno Rosete 10-29-2006, 07:26 AM Nicely composed and very good color contrast. Well done Carlo.
