Hi folks, I know that this is not necessarily an original idea, as I remember having read of a similar EB sometime ago. But, I thought it nice to have another of this kind of activity.

It's been a while since I suggested an idea of an open shoot.

Why: Basta, just to max out the 50mm capability. Basta, for the sake of commaraderie; just to practice, wala lang!!!

Where: I strongly suggest UP Diliman. Why? because there are lots of subjects to shoot there; public transpo is available. Meeting place would be the oblation.

When (what day): Suggestion is on a Sunday, because the academic oval is closed to vehicular traffic, so you would be more free to shoot.

When (what date): Suggestion is November 30

When (what time): Suggestion is 3PM, so it would not be too hot by the time the shoot starts.

Some FAQ:

1. I don't have a 50mm, can I bring zoom?:
Ans: Why not? Just try to tape the zoom to 50mm or thereabouts

2. What brand of camera?
Ans: Does it matter? You can bring a P&S or film or daguerrotype, if you want

3. Can I use flash? Tripod? Filters?
Ans: Your choice

4. Can newbies join?
Ans: Newborn babies can join, too, subject to parental consent

5. Where's UP Diliman?
Ans: Visit www.upd.edu.ph (http://www.upd.edu.ph). You can view a map there.

Ok, fellow shutterbugs, see you on Sunday. Here's the suggested IT for that day.

15:00 - 15:15 Waiting time + group hug
15:15 - 15:30 Break up into groups of six to eight
15:30 All groups go East, with the following route options:
- A. Via Osmena Avenue
- B. Via Roxas Avenue
- C. Via the nature trek (i.e.m ampitheathre, lagoon, butterfly park, beta walk)
16:30 Kita Kits at the Sunken Garden Grandstand (assuming 1 hour leisurely walk)
16:45 Each group heads back to the Oblation via a different route
17:45 Meet up at the Oblation for sunset shoots. Other than the Oblation, the nice places to shhot the sunset are at the former golf course tee-off areas (fronting the Oblation). One can also go to the Ylanan Field.

Folks, the above is just a suggestion. You may wish to venture to the other areas (see map) to take picturesque shots (like by the President's house, Ylanan field, housing areas, etc)
