Hi. I am currently testing Adobe Lightroom 2.1 with the latest (Oct 22) Camera profiles.

I dont know if anyone of you have noticed, when using Camera Profiles (at least for my d300), sliding the RECOVERY SLIDER gives a magenta tint on the photo (at Zero value, no tint, at 10+ there's a significant tint already)... while using the old ACR4.4 profile, only highlights are affected without any color tinting when recovery slider is used (even at very high values). Anyone having this issue?

I was really looking forward to these new camera profiles because as we all know, the colors of LR RAW import by default is the greatest frustration! But this time, Im having another great frustration.

Try tinkering with your camera's profile using the DNG profile editor (available for download from Adobe Labs (http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/DNG_Profiles)).

A more drastic move might be to use the shadow/highlight command in CS3/CS4 on a luminosity blending mode to prevent color shifts when recovering highlights.

@jay j
thanks for those suggestions. Will try that out, the DNG editor. Im not really comfortable with batch quick processing using CS4 photoshop, especially for my events pix where the Lightroom slider is quick and easy access.
