Much as I am satisfied with my current brand choice there's always some product or feature from another company (not necessarily nikon) that I'd wish Canon would also implement into it's digital camera line (let's focus DSLRs for now).

Here's my wish list?
- Off camera flash via IR
- Optional grid lines on the viewfinder (for composition)
- In body Image Stabilization (not in the lenses) so in essense all lenses are IS.
- A superzoom worthy of the L designation.
- Wifi capability
- CF storage area in the battery grip

What's your wish list?

hi dave,

i'm with you on the optional grid lines... but with a twist, with corresponding AF points as well :)

or how about a leveling feature that tells you that your horizon is on the dot so as to avoid straightening afterwards?

older eos film cameras had eye control where you look at the focus point to engage that focus point ... its was a nice feature but was a bit slow ... if only they could improve it then it will be faster to pick a focus point

and maybe a 70-200 IS f4 L or a 70-400 IS f4 L

@dave - i believe you can replace focusing screens on some higher-end canon's with those gridded ones.

@matt - i've read about that. it'd be nice to try that in a DLSR

basically, my wish is that someone can come up with the idea of producing high quality optics using low-cost materials. what if lenses evolved at a rate like cellular phones? hmm.

live-preview LCD. and while you're fine-tuning like in Manual mode, you actually get to see what the resulting image will be even before you press the shutter button all the way down...
