I have heard of 3 schools of though for changing White Balance in Digital Cameras:

1-Use a gel such as a CTO and adjust Camera WB to match the Gel
-or-
2-Shoot Raw Auto White Balance and adjust in Photo Shop
3-Shoot with an "Expo Disc" to get correct white balance falling on your subject and adjust your WB setting to cuom based on expodisc reading.

I have tryed the first 2 methods but not the 3rd. I'd like to hear other photographers methods on this issue.

Mike, I shoot RAW always... No WB horrors here, just CF space. :)

i find raw such a pain to use but it can really save the day in PP. tried the expodisc but rarely use now since it has the same effect as standard grey cards.

I have an expodisc but seldom use it nowadays.

I also have an ExpoDisc but seldom used, I always use WhiBal card it is simplier and easier to use.

Just take a shot of the WhiBal card anytime where your subject is located and use that as a reference for those shots that needs WB correction.

I always shoot RAW.
