I have two grade schoolers now and I'm glad to say that "Pal" is still very much used in the Grade School. :)

if the school has changed so much for you folks ... so has Katipunan Avenue for people of my era ...
back then, Katipunan was basically residential though Shoppesville was already there ... then came Shakey's Pizza Parlor in 1976 ... the Jesuits were so adamant and petitioned for that establishment to be prohibited from selling beer ... I believe commercialization started from there ... the rest is history ...

lastly, seems everyone enjoyed their school life here ... maybe, that is the common denominator we all have (regardless of batch) ...

sir, when i shoot, i use sRGB and convert it to AdobeRGB when i open the pics in photoshop na..

i don't know what colorspace to use for the web and for printing..:Grin:

actually, it did work for a while ... but you were right, in less than a year, a number of eateries serving lunch already had beer on the side ... in fact, it may have been happening all along then ... along E. Abada, a couple of apartments then used their driveways for dart and served beer as well ... eventually, small restaurants came in ... all these things contributed and eventually led to the commercialization in the area which is history by now ...

to be fair with the Jesuits then, they were really open minded and gave in to reason in the end (maybe, based on the same philosophical statement you quoted) ...

even during our high school days, the school had the following policies that were considered very liberal back then :

Rally Permit - allow or conditionally join political reallies depending on consent of parents (but was abolished after the declaration of martial law)
Smoking Permit - allow to smoke during break times but with the consent of parents
No Uniform - can even wear t-shirt, shorts and slippers to class
No Haircut Rule - considering it was the "hippie" era, we can have our hair real long (it may not be an issue now, but it was to society then)
Drive Car as along as one has a license - considering one's age in high school, go figure how one can get a license; nevertheless, it was allowed ...

from my understanding, all these are not allowed anymore; but then again, i do not know of any school, then and now, who gave ALL these freedom to their high school students ... who only but the Jesuits.

but going back to photography, i would like to thank Aly, Carlo, Chep, Jom and John for all those nice pictures ... they really bring back memories ... but even without those memories, i believe that they are still good pictures due to their concept and proper exposure ... did took some pictures of the same place but mine did not capture it as good as you people did it ...

i would really like to shoot with you guys for i believe i can learn a lot more ...
you people have a lot tricks in you bag ... hope, it is not a problem sharing your techniques with me and others (remember, "man for others") ...

Try to not change the space to AdobeRGB. sRGB will be better suited for posting your pics sa internet.
