I'm planning to buy a 17-40 L in the future, mybe next year.

My questions are,

To your knowledge, What is the cheapest price brand new of this lens and what store?

Have you tried purchasing lens from a reputable online store in the US, if so how much or what is the percentage did you pay for custom duty tax?

And lastly ,Is there any reputable online retailer here in the Philippines that sells Photo gears, including lenses?

hi marcelo, I found the cheapest price of the 17-40 L at hidalgo (henry's i think) @ 37K.

i have shopped online, Adorama and Cameta. Custom charges depends, sometimes i get off with just 35petot and sometimes a few hundred.

Bought mine at Henry's at 37K a year ago. If you're buying online, go with B&H.

Do these lens at hidalgo, particularly those with low prices, have a Canon Philippines warranty, If not , will Canon Phil. accept repairs of imported (grey market) lenses?
