Woke up late but I didn't miss too much of the junior busking championships. What I missed was half of the Tauranga Moana Kapa Haka -- a Maori cultural performance by the Tauranga Moana community.

My 20D's light meter's acting up again (30secs on f/4!?!!). I had to rely on my manual metering skills, and calculating exposure when changing f/stops.

Tash saving my contact details on her phone @ their café.

Cropped to square format due to blown highlights on the right side of the image. God I miss using my Rolleicord!

Thanks Neil!

Here are 3 more images from today's senior busking championships. The day started late again as I worked late postprocessing yesterday's images in ACR and watched Mystery Science Theater 3000 - The Movie til 5am.

All images were manually exposed. Postprocessing, and black & white conversions all done in ACR.

I rarely stop people on the street to have their photographs taken but these ladies' colorful costumes are just lovely I had to ask them. The original image was underexposed by a stop but was corrected in ACR.

The Parking Attendant and Sazes
I was initially peeved when the parking attendant sat beside her when he saw me preparing to shoot. It turned out for the better as it captured the essence of enjoying music than her playing alone.
