Let's start a thread with images captured during the "magic hour"

Here's my share.

Scoria Flats - Tongariro National Park, New Zealand
Exposure details: 2secs @ f/16 with a Singh-Ray Daryl Benson 3-stop reverse ND grad
I was originally going to shoot Mt. Ngauruhoe (Mt. Doom to LOTR fans) from this area but clouds started rolling and soon it covered Mt. Ruapehu as well where Scoria Flats was located. With 3 large JPEG shots remaining from my CF card, I patiently waited for the setting sun to shine through the clouds and I was rewarded.

Maricaban Island/Tingloy
Exposure details: ISO100, 1.6secs @ f/11 with Singh-Ray Galen Rowell 2-stop gradual gray ND filter.
This was one of our sidetrips after 5 months of gruelling training for Halcon with Pilipinas Sierra was abandoned so we settled for Mt. Malasimbo in Puerto Galera instead. I called it our "Sama ng Loob Climb."
I was disappointed that Tito Mayong and Jay Jallorina had to return to Manila earlier so we carried on to Maricaban without them. This was taken in front of an abandoned resort where we stayed. I have to say that this was the only pink-tinged sunset at sea level that I ever captured in the Philippines.

Breath taking... it could be more spectacular if it was shot wide... Fish eye is not neded. 12-24mm f/4 perhaps. WoW!

I was thinking of the same thing when I was shooting the second image -- I ran out of Provia 100F the previous night and was cursing myself for not saving some shots in my film cam. So yes, it would have been spectacular if I shot it with Velvia on 17mm.

Extra na naman ako dito ah. Did you get the Cokin 121 filter? Bili ka na lang ng P filter slot and filter adaptor for your lenses. You can cut the front slots as well leaving 1 slot para walang vignetting sa corners. Tin told me there's a magazine for me so I'm assuming that it's from you. Thanks!

Here's my share for that magic light. I guess I was just at the right place at the right time when I took that shot. I even took this shot during the first month of having my DSLR camera. :)
