We tried sa glorietta but the guards told us that taking photos are not allowed unless we have a permit...so we decided to transfer to Greenbelt

hi guys, sorry I was having problems with my login to this site, and only now that I was able to get back in again, as I have read on this thread, it seems that only few people are interested in joining this EB, but these few people are very much inerested in pursuing this EB, and I am glad about it, I think its already set on Jan. 10, Sat at 10:00am in Starbucks ATC...

I'm also a newbie in photography and I would also want to learn from the people who are experienced into this field...Rem says he's tempted to step into this EB, by all means go ahead sir, i'm pretty sure that you will be able to share to us your experiences and teach us how to maximize our gears...

what do we shoot? that was a good question...i think we need to have a theme(or whatever you call it) for our EB so that we can think of what to shoot.

I've got the CONFORME letter from ATC admin.

Some conditions stipulated on the documentation, that we should follow.

well, i cannot really waive the rental fees for this, since there are actual costs being incurred by the studio... but i will conduct a basic seminar for the shoot to move forward... now if the group is able to get an ex-deal model and mua then the participants will only share on the studio rental fee, i.e. 5 hours = P2,500.00 for studio rental (inclusive of lights, a/c, use of make-up area and dressing room)... now if we are able to get at least 10 participants, then the share per participant is just P250... this is the minimum share per photographer, which i think is very affordable already... based on my previous experiences, the share ranges from P500-2,000 per photographer for a studio photo shoot

I suggest that we do dutch on our food and drinks. Since the studio is located in BF there are alot of food joints there. If you dont like to go anywhere we could always call in for delivery. The inconvenienc of having a set budget for food is kinda limited not everybody eat the same. MY ten cents. :-)

hi sonny... we shall do the shoot by rotation, i.e. only one photog will shoot at a time... each photographer would take around 5-10 minutes per set... this would allow the main photographer to conceptualize and set-up his/her shots... will explain further on shoot day

It's been a trend here in DPP. Usually 30-40% on any sign up list back out for a lot of reasons.

With regards to MUA, if you still do not have, my wife is a "newbie" in make up thing. She just recently took up make up classes. However, I'm not so sure if she has the equipement (make up) that you guys want. If your interested, do you have any sample pics of the make up you want, so i can ask her if she can do it?

The models have been informed to come in before call time (12nn) at least.

I told the models also to bring their own makeup kits - if ever. If we have a volunter MUA on the side, then it is far more better.

30D has triggering mechanism, you don't need a wireless transmitter (unless you are using your flash).

I'm assuming here coz Keylights is the one providing the lightingie.

There will be a tutorial on how to use studio lights.

Is there enough parking? It's very near the intersection of Aguirre and Elizalde.

1. of course the camera (hehehe) with lens >= 50mm (so that subject is not skewed) - 24-70 is very much suitable for a studio shoot; lens for low light conditions would be good
2. extra memory cards
3. laptop (optional) - if you need to unload your memory card
4. bring extra socks. you are not allowed to step on the backdrop with your shoes on. - models are allowed :)
5. tripod (you might need it)
6. wear dark shirt (something non-reflective)
7. external flash (you might need it)
8. mp3 player - you may have some music preference while shooting
9. your assignments -> image pegs (this will make your first time easier :))

wireless RF trigger is provided... only the one with the trigger is the main photographer

building has parking for 12 cars... please park close to one another :) so that 12 would fit... else you can park farther away from the intersection... some can arrange for car pool from ATC or Toyota Alabang maybe

yes... the wireless trigger is supposed to work... you can use the kit lens... will show you on saturday... i plan to just use a kit lens as well for the demo
