View Full Version : A very basic RAW workflow in ACR.
Earl Gonzalez 10-20-2006, 08:46 AM As requested by Sir Nick Tuason. :) I made a very basic RAW workflow tutorial using ACR. There is alot to consider in working with RAW, however for illustration purposes, specially for the newbies, I simplified the steps mainly by using automatic values... In future incarnations of this tutorial, I may include tweaking for settings such as WB, shadows, highlights, contrast... etc.
Also, in order to conserve this site's resources; I have made the tutorial as an external link hosted in my own server. I apologize if there are any typos or if the page does not accurately load correctly in other browsers. I also apologize for the lack of complete technical detail.
Anyway here's the link (http://earlgonzalez.com/egrawwf.htm).

About Lightroom: Yes, though still in it's infancy, it is a very good raw workflow program which absorbs the engine of the Pixmantec's Rawshooter Premium; which is considered to be one of the best and fastest RAW processing application.
You should also try to consider, participating in Adobe's survey program so that they can best tweak this product to general photog. specs. :)

Terence Uygongco 02-01-2007, 09:39 AM i also have the same problem (dunno if it is the same). i reformatted my pc and installed ps2 and bridge. downloaded the camera raw 3.6. when i open my bridge, the cr2 raw file cannot be previewed. when i check the file info, there is no data on the camera data 1. under advanced, only xmp core properties are available. i can see that there is camera raw.8bi under common files/plugins of adobe. my other computer can preview bridge and see the file info and even only have 3.2 of the adobe camera raw. any suggestion?
Terence Uygongco 02-01-2007, 10:02 AM am sorry posted it in the wrong thread...
