I too have to agree with the guessess so far. I finally got a hold of that lens and was surprised at how sharp it is. I could make out my fingerprints on bottles. Sharp. Now I know why carlo is so fond of primes.

for me, that is a china made 50mm Nikkor with 1.4 max aperture.

This one was shot at f8, 55mm using a bounce flash. distance is around 5inches.
