Hi guys, just wanted to share to you this blog I came across trying to find an explanation why eBay and Paypal have started to put a 21-day hold on funds for sellers. This is just a warning to you guys if you intend to sell your gears on eBay and expect payment through Paypal.

I don't know if this applies also to Philippine transactions, but in any case be careful. You could try listing on Craigslist instead.

Here's the link, please read the comments:

I posted one on Pentax Forum.

Mixed emotions. Great for buyers not for sellers, but then buyers are being protected here for scam.

Both seller and buyer loose. Buyer has protection but will have less and less choices and now even more costly as Seller will seek other payment options like US Postal Money Order or overseas bank wire. Even shipping will now become costly as you can't just ship via First Class Mail or Bulk Mail, now everything has to be Priority or Express, or UPS/Fedex/DHL, which will certainly almost match the cost of an item. So it's basically up to both parties to weigh.

Hello Craigslist!

Now, its up to the sellers if they can wait for 21 days or no business, if thats the case.
