Had a chance to spent sometime @ Joe Overstreet Fish Camp in Lake Kissimmee and was fortunate enough to catch the Snail Kite for the first time. Here are some shots I took. Thanks for viewing.

Romy: Although this bird is abundant in Latin America, they're listed as endangered in the US as you can only find them in South Florida as they require a specilized habitat because they only feed on snails. And there's not a whole lot of them around. Never expected the encounter as I was expecting the early Bald Eagle migrants and the very elusive Caracaras. Never seen em both though. And this is what I really like about wildlife photography, full of surprises and the challenges to capture these kinds of moments is both demanding and best of all, rewarding. Couldn't be happeir I have choosen this field of photography.
