I just realized that the majority of us here are newbies :D So I thought of starting this thread. You may start a new thread just replace the sub-topic within the main topic e.g. Let's learn composition series: Fill the Frame. Or if you want to start a main topic: Let's learn landscape series: Horizon.
Here's a good blog with samples of how to use the Golden Ratio or Rule of Thirds: http://www.photo96.com/blog/?p=371
Then you can post your pics using the technique (appropriate to the thread).
I hope this will improve our photos a great deal :)

Can I share my Rule of Thirds using post processing adobe photoshop? or its out of thread? from there u can edit ur pic and make an emphasis of the subject(s) rule of thirds, without capturing again and again your composition just to say you've followed the rule.

Hello Richard,
Yes you may do so Richard. Capturing a perfectly composed photograph, is very difficult to achieve, specially for non-stationary subjects. Hence, post processing tools are available to us to make those minor adjustments. But off course, it would still be best (for newbies) to actually learn how to photograph a subject applying the "Rule of Thirds" during capture.
