Don't get me wrong here, all of (almost) them are really great photos. Just would like to hear the side of the judges so I can see what they are seeing.

each judge has their own opinion, on how they see/judge an entry... i myself do not ask why they chose it.. it's a matter of preference.

please do not get me wrong, but i don't ask/ rarely ask why they chose it but nevertheless, if everybody wants to know, i can ask the judge why he chose that.

Okay. I am sure some will agree with me regarding this matter. Participants (as well as readers like me) will learn what they missed/overlooked given how the judges see their works (and the chosen) and how to improve them.

Just my two cents. I am new here and I don't know your rules yet.

i think they're missing the comments like these (http://digitalphotographer.com.ph/forum/showthread.php?t=6929) on the previous PC :)

The reason i chose the winning entry above the others was due to the subtlety in lighting and composition. I also factored in the use of contrast not only in terms of lighting but also in color. Composition was also a key factor in how i chose the entry. There was a sense of movement in the way the mice were arranged that jived with the caption.
