We already have a Subscribe link above in the header navigation links, or click here (http://www.digitalphotographer.com.ph/forum/newthread.php?do=subscription)

oops sorry did not see that... was waiting for some sort of announcement... or at least a more visible ad.

for a website dedicated to photography you sure make it hard for people to subscribe... I suggest that you make the subsribe button more prominent than just a small itsy bitsy text on the top of a page. If those interested in subscribing had a difficult time locating the subscribe button what more those who are just browsing.

WHAT!!! 2,500 ang 1 year subscription... ang mahal naman :) bili na lang muna ako sa National and then see whether its worth subscribing to or not ;)

Kirby,

Point well taken. We don't want subcription to be yelling here on this forum so that is why Nino Pasamonte put it as a small title on the navigation links. Yes, we recommend you purchase first an issue at National Bookstore. It will be found in most of their premium outlets starting around June 3. You will also find the mag in Fully Booked and Powerbooks. Subscribing allows us to remove the profit made by the bookstores and extend this to you at a discount, around P 1,100 over 12-months. Subscription brings the magazine down to around P 200 with delivery to your door. We will do our best to ensure that as a subscriber you receive the magazine before it reaches the bookstores. Is P 295 pricy? Yes, if you are used to purchasing the lower quality P 120 magazines that predominate the newsstands. But no, if you buy the imported photography magazines that are usually priced over
P 700. You will get the same content but with a little local flavor. Eventually you will see some photos in the magazine contributed by the photographers with whom you interact in this forum.

Buy one at the newsstands and let us know your comments. We welcome your opinion.

although i will want to subscribe, i still feel it's a little expensive. Those P120 mags you mentioned contain the same flavors as you do - articles from the parent mag and some pinoy origs. is it because of this mag being a pro's/hobbyist's? i think neither. and it's of roughly the same pages and paper quality. parang tuloy pinatungan ng service fee. he he he... :)

correction. should read: "...hobbyist's? i think NOT. and it's of roughly the same NUMBER OF pages...

I can really say that 295 is definitely worth every penny.. better than to shell out the 600+ i usually pay for the DP UK edition..

by the way.. the content is what makes the magazine.. and DPP has so far been very informative.. the other photography mags.. even the US ones.. full of useless advertising..

do i really have to defend the mag? buy one and you'll know the difference..

can I just drop by your office for the sub?

Nick,
Really nice copy. I picked up one the other day, and have been impressed by the quality. I get my daily subscription of "Practical Photography " from UK because of their PS tips. Maybe we can see some of these in your Mag. Hands down on your price points!!! Send me your account number for the subscription as you have earlier promised. I'll subscribe shortly, am in between "homes" right now, and will move soon.

Congratulations!

Are you, Gutsy and Caloy all related?

Any chance of credit card payment online in the future? I would like to subscribe but I don't have a checking account and I'm not that familiar with makati.

hi, i sent a subscription request using the link above twice last week but until now i haven't gotten an email from them yet. I also emailed them directly but still no reply. I prefer paying in cash so do i actually go to their office and subscribe?
