- must be taken during the qualifying period;
- must be submitted on or before the deadline;
- must be within the spirit of the theme;
- image must be in JPEG format;
- image file size must not be bigger that 250 kb;
- image size must be limited to 640 pixel at its longest side;
- image must not be a composite;
- image must not have any signature or water mark.
- image must not have any frames or borders.
- Image filename must be the photo title
- Image should include your EXIF

sigs and boarders will not be allowed. To my understanding, saturation, healing, cloning, contrast, etc, are acceptable so long as the integrity of the image is not compromised. Meaning all the elements in the photo really existed when you took the photograph...please correct me if I got this wrong...

Wow, the list is getting longer and studded with prominent DPPers!!! This is going to be a tough one -- I don't even have a concept in mind.

Cez, when's the last day for backing out? if one submits a photo tonight, will that person be disqualified?

Just clarifying....

I can take a photo of a PC mouse up to 11:59, July 19 only.

Then I have 5 whole days for processing, up to july 24.

Why can't we shoot the mouse till July 24 na lng?

Just asking, coz if I had up to july 24 to shoot, I might be able to come up with a better concept during those 5 extra days. But if i'm stuck with my so-so concept which I can shoot up to tom lng, then no amount of processing will make it better diba?

I'm sorry I had to bring this up so close to the deadline... but being the typical crammer that I am, I only really read the details of the deadline when crunch time was drawing near.

I mentioned it :D. Aeiae as long as your subject is a/the PC mouse (err: Macmouse included) then i think thats fine (chase or not). The thread title is usually the theme. If its not mentioned or then ask or interpret it. Apir! :)

My interpretation is different. Contest period, or the days in wch you can click the shutter is up to the 19th. Then there is the submission period, wch is 19-24, last chance is 11.59pm of the 24th. My understanding is you can use this lag time to PP, or submit, or just wait, as long as you have your entry sent before the last few seconds of the 24th. Judging is 25-27 and we will know who won by the 28th.

That is why I'm clarifying. :)

sigs and boarders will not be allowed. To my understanding, saturation, healing, cloning, contrast, etc, are acceptable so long as the integrity of the image is not compromised. Meaning all the elements in the photo really existed when you took the photograph...please correct me if I got this wrong...

Cez, perhaps it's just a matter of waiting. Come deadline date, you'll probably see a deluge of submissions.

Also, you may want to consider advising those who signed up that they have until a certain date (say 24 hours before deadline of contest period) to back out, in case they really had no chance of coming up with a concept, had no chance of executing the concept, or whatever. My 2 cents lang...
