Brilliant concept Kristine, design is simple and minimal; doesnt take away your attention from the content. It would have been better if you hone more time in optimizing content size. load-time is too heavy even for a T1/E1 connection. Overall, I believe you have rendered a great deal of time in thinking of your sites look and feel, which is great; site navigation is straight forward but the technicalities killed it... POV breaking the content and giving them separate load sequences instead of trying to load them all at once would produce a great deal of difference.

Tama si migs! The design is really good but technical wise, not good. It would really be nice to break the loading part into pieces as the visitor visits a particular section. Always remember, first impressions last. Do you think your prospective visitors would wait that long just to view the site? I don't think so.... :(

Anyway, that's just a suggestion kristine. :)

Probably it's the hosting's bandwidth... Must be reaching it's limits due to the heavy content and simultaneous access... Was able to open it around 20min. Cable plus DSL, dual link.

on an 8Mbps connection and it's a few mintues now and it still hasn't loaded. i agree with the comment prior that you should load each section separately and not as a whole. less waiting and more time enjoying the site. also, you might want to change your webhost to a faster one.

i agree with them with regards to design and the loading time. design-wise it's excellent but the pageloading ruins it. normal users can wait up to five minutes loading time, else they'll reload it or go away. putting it to sections and a preloader (with percentage) will help a lot on a user end.

Congrats Kristines, I like the concept which is very artistic and originality:),, and your gallery is awesome dami mo na palang awards...

And i will agree with everybody, it's takes a very very very very very long time to wake up the artist at the begginning (kala ko binangungot an sya)jk lang:)...

For the other people, they will not wait for 4 to 5 minutes just to see your site... better listen to the suggestion of other members in this forum... thanks for sharing and keep up the good work...:)

Oks lang yan Kristine... Pa section-chop mo nalang sa designer mo yung site para it will load alot quicker, and put a percentage or functional progress bar para hindi nangangapa yung viewer kung nag-hang na ba yung computer nila... :D

Anyway, it was definitely an experience and plus; who can resist the charms of a beautiful young lady. :) Yes!! Well, at least meron ka na... Slight modifications nalang. CONGRATS again!

About dun sa sobrang tagal na loading... yun din po yung problem namin... hindi po namin alam kung paano gagawan ng mga separate loading sequence yung mga pages.. so... sana po may mag reply kung merong marunong para maayos na po asap. hehe. :)

oh! and about the webby award! pano po sumali dun? hehe. :D magbabakasakali po akong palarin. :)

hi kristine, i like your personal site and i'm pretty sure you can send it to webby awards for the next nomination.

but... eto personal suggestion ko lang.

looks and feel wise is almost perfect but the performance is something that needs to work on especially the graphics and flash.

maybe you can add an option to skip the intro.

Yipee...got to see it at last! :) Tried it at home yesterday but couldn't get it to load fast enough. Good thing I'm in the office today...something to be happy about (faster internet connection). :D Anyway, Kristine Ann Juan Soguilon...your website is sooo nice! How to cut flash websites into sections for better loading 101

Ceate a layout and determine how many sections (aka pages for HTML) your entire website would have.
Divide your layout into content sections. Decide which parts of each page a specific content section will change (e.g.,header will change overall, left side text will change only in "about me" section, etc.)
Create seperate swf files for each section. This should be the same size (in pixels)as your main swf file (ideal your home page swf) and fill in the content spaces which will make that file distinct.
Use loadMovieNum function to bind things together.For more info, please see your flash documentation. Believe me, that help menu really does help. =8)

Creating a website is hard word but it's not rocket science. Google and the Help menu should be able to solve your problem.
