Filipinos are among the most talented in the world. Browse any online
photography galleries and forums, and chances are, Filipinos will be
one of the most active posters there.

The Internet has made it easier for people to connect, and has made it
possible for those whose passion is photography to share their
knowledge of the craft from miles away.

For these people, the world has become almost without borders, and
while many of them have yet to see each other,
some have become good friends.

Twenty-two Filipino photographers from five countries have come
together to bring you a photo exhibit called
"Borderless: Places and
Indigenous Faces."

If I may elaborate, proceeds from any sale in this exhibit will be for the benefit of CARD (Center for Autism Related Disorder) a non-profit organization that deals with teaching special children to adapt to our society and for their families to accept the ways of their special child. My sister Dr. Alexis L. Reyes is a director of this foundation.

This exhibit is for a worthy cause.
I'll be presenting 2 colored works (not toned) as a part of 4. Something different from my usual but I am satisfied with the end result. The works will be a part of a worldwide edition of 10. Like my other prints, it will have an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity, dated and signed.

To be in the same wall amongst friends is really worthwhile.
To be displayed together with the people who I look upon in photography is flattering.
Making it something that gives back to the community, now that makes it an honor.

Just came home from the event.

It started 15 minutes before it was originally slated to start according to sir Dan; it was well-attended,
there were abundant food and drinks, with San Mig Light pa talaga. Most of the
DPPers who worked in Makati made sure that they dropped by. Sir Aly was seen in
his tux and the signature hat -- Don na Don ang dating, only lacking was the cane
and the pipe. Those who were there in the early morning today stayed until it was wrap-up
time tonight, and did not show even the slightest sign of exhaustion (except kuya Ricky whom
I caught was trying so hard to balance his weight as he was fighting to keep his eyes open --hahaha,
biro lang, exag lang ako!).

To all the participant/exhibitors, my dear-friends/organizers, CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!
This is just the beginning of the 7-day stint in Glorietta mall. May you all continue to inspire alot of
people through your works of art. Nice meeting those that I shook hands with and talked to even for just a while ... see you in your future shoots. To all those who missed the opening tonight, SHOWING pa po until JUNE 25!

Guilty as Charge!!!

I just got back from a well planned, well executed exhibit! There's really nothing that beats true dedication when you put your minds to it! Place was packed!

Here are some sound bytes this evening -

- "Uy Senator Magsaysay's there na!" "....Teka 6pm palang, tell him he's early":Scared: Aly where are you?

- "Hay salamat, nag pakita ka din!" "Too late koya, I hanged your photos na!":Angry: - Ricky ladia

- "Pare, I thought Joel was the official photographer to cover this event?" "Where is he":Dum::Dum: - Melai Lopez

- "I need alcohol na, I'm getting thirsty" - Miguel Vecin:)

- "Let's have a picture taken here (relatives of a DPPer abroad) so we can show him we attended the event!!" - Nice to see relatives of those from other countries attend the event, they were all excited seeing the photos! :)

Just came home from the event.

It started 15 minutes before it was originally slated to start according to sir Dan; it was well-attended,
there were abundant food and drinks, with San Mig Light pa talaga. Most of the
DPPers who worked in Makati made sure that they dropped by. Sir Aly was seen in
his tux and the signature hat -- Don na Don ang dating, only lacking was the cane
and the pipe. Those who were there in the early morning today stayed until it was wrap-up
time tonight, and never showed even a slight sign of exhaustion (except kuya Ricky whom
I caught was trying so hard to balance his weight as he was fighting to keep his eyes open --hahaha,
biro lang, exag lang ako!).

To all the participant/exhibitors, my dear-friends/organizers, CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!
This is just the beginning of the 7-day stint in Glorietta mall. May you all continue to inspire alot of
people through your works of art. Nice meeting those that I shook hands with and talked to even for just a while ... see you in your future shoots. To all those who missed the opening tonight, SHOWING pa po until JUNE 25!

Yes Donna that is your panel. Bebet and Edwin were actually working on the frame of your other photo. The framer made a mistake on the orientation of the screws for for photo (trans. yun sabitan portrait pero yun photo landscape.)
