And also what size of book are you thinking about? pippayjuan 10-06-2006, 09:21 PM actually i don't have any idea about binding yet. :( it would be my first attempt to create one. i was thinking of worrying about the binding later. for the size, might be 8.5x11. hope you can enlighten me on this. i would really appreciate it. super thanks. raymund_madronero 10-06-2006, 10:07 PM hello.. what paper can i use/is used for creating a photography book? thanks. :) Are you here in Manila? Try to find time to visit the WPPP Photo Congress exhibits at Megamall. There are lots of album exhibitors. Lots of new ideas for albums and printing too. Raymund Nick Tuason 10-06-2006, 11:16 PM Agree with Raymund on this one. The Wedding photographers have this album thing mastered. Just some pointers for you. If you ring bind, you have more paper choices since the flexibility of the paper would not matter. If you perfect bind while making an album 8.5x11, you may need to use a thinner and more flexible paper otherwise you won't be able turn the pages. You may want to bind the pages horizontal to get 11x8.5 instead. Other thing to consider is whether you plan to print on one side or two sides of the paper. Not easy finding two sided paper here. pippayjuan 10-07-2006, 12:06 AM yes i'm here in manila - i'm from parañaque. ahhh.. i'll definitely go to the photo congress. thanks Raymund and Nick - and for the binding tips as well. i was planning to print on two sides. one last question... is binding easy to do? is this something i can do at home. or i need a pro to do it for me. raymund_madronero 10-07-2006, 12:27 AM one last question... is binding easy to do? is this something i can do at home. or i need a pro to do it for me. Just like most things, it takes skill and practice to perfect something. Once you get to know the basics, you can do some experimentation. Go and visit the exhibits, malulula ka sa dami ng options. It's at the Megatrade Hall 3, 5th Floor Building B, SM Megamall... |
