View Full Version : Me and My Bazooka

I thought this was the most apt category for this thread, so please advise me if there's a more appropriate venue.

This is all about snipers out there, taking real photos of/by DPPers using long, large lenses in action. Lenses that, in many ways, look humungus relative to the shooter and/or the DSLR.

Photos only, please. Avoid posting those youtube (and the like) links regarding real bazookas and rocket launchers.

I'll start.

I know this is disqualified because this man is not from DPP but I couldn't resist not posting his lens here. Taken at Central Park NYC.

I don't think so, Dan, but I think you need a porter to carry that lens. :Dum::D

But Tok endured the 3-hour hike to Mt. Pinatubo carrying that bazooka on his back.

Geez... Carrying around a D40 with kit lens for a long period of time makes my arm feel awful sometimes... Maybe I should start working out on my arms now and perhaps I can carry one of those someday, for longer duration... Heheheh

I totally agree with the pic caption, below. Those cam bodies look like end-caps to those gargantuan lenses. man, he has at least 5 cams all over him!!!

Anyway, if you folks care to refer to post #1, the thread was about photos taken by DPPers of of photograpers with humungous lenses or photos of DPPers using such lenses.

But, I guess, we're all having fun as the topic of this thread has taken a wider coverage, so keep on posting, folks!!!!:D:D
