hehe, yeah I kind of don't get to buy every month because I prioritize FHM :D

But I do get the issues when I can. So I buy like 2 back issues to make up for it. But I won't likely get the latest issue.

Plus, Filbars and other mag stands don't sell them much on time eh. So I just get them whenever I see one.

Intriguing subject huh!

:)

Im also not a regular subscriber of the magazine. I seldom buy. hehehe.

I guess this one is a bigger confession: I buy other photog magazines esp those published abroad, instead of the local magazines. I like the ones with tutorials and helps.

Cheers!

It's hard to find DPP magazines in the south. I mean Cagayan de Oro and Davao city south. The last time I went home, I got the December and January Issue at MOA just hours before leaving. The tag can make one "hypokwarta" but I did not regret missing FHM for DPP.

The big mistake I did was to lend them to friends here. Now it would take the Mossad to trace up the whereabouts of those mags!

I also don't buy all the issues that come out.. I only buy the one's that have specific topics that I'm interested in.

Looking for back issues of DPP is very hard. I was jumping for joy when I chanced upon the Portraiture Issue of DPP(I think issue no.3) and quickly bought it.

DPP mags are so hard to get even here in Makati. I usually find myself on out-of-stock stores.. my frustration indeed, and if I ever find one I hold on to it tight and make sure no one snags it from me! haha! :D

I'm still thinking on subscribing though.. if my moolah can take it.:(

It may be expensive though but its really worth it.:)

Yeah, DPP mag does tend to be difficult to find. I've raised this issue before (http://digitalphotographer.com.ph/forum/showthread.php?t=15475) and Mr. Tuason was kind enough to enlighten me. Just sharing:

Thanks for the post Christian. I've explained this many times but since you are fairly new to the forum this is how it works.

We've gone the massive distribution approach at the start and learned that it does not work for our magazine. Why? Mainly because we're a premium magazine priced at P295. Not too many people in SM Lazaro will pay for the price of the mag.

We found that by focusing on higher profile retailers we maximize our magazine sales. So DPP unfortunately will never probably find its way into SM San Lazaro. We're mainly in the Fully Booked Stores, Magnet, Mio, MX, Filbars, Papyvore, and Bufini locations. For NBS basically anything on EDSA starting with Glorietta, Greenbelt, Megamall, Shang, Trinoma

Is there any magazine cheaper than DPP? This is the Philippines, we always want and look for cheaper alternatives. Or a better idea is for DPP to publish a cheaper version to reach the other side of the market. Hahaha! 300 bucks is a day's work for some. :) just a thought.

Hi Bong!

(Uh oh, I think DPP wouldn't like this post... Heheh..)

Honestly speaking, you have a point; but DPP's also has its own standing as well. As quoted:

I think one doesn't need to adjust (when it comes to price in this case) if you're able to reach your target market...

Just a thought.
