Hi, the only way i can purchase those 70-200 f2.8 sigma is from dp online. what bothers me is that ive heard so manny stories about poor quality on the 70-200 mark 2, like af wont work. also i can't test the lense coz im from cdo, so im in the mercy of the seller if they sell me the trouble free item.

my advice: ask someone from manila to test it and purchase for you. the possibilities of it won't AF-ing is really really low, but i suggest really testing for a properly focusing one (no front/backfocusing) so you'd get the best out of the lens.
if the 50-150 mark II sounds good for you, i have one in a nikon mount that top condition and focuses perfectly up for sale. pm me if interested.
what i can suggest also is the nikkor 80-200/2.8 AF-D if your camera is a nikon. a few thousand more or the same price than the sigma 70-200. a bit sharper and better quality control.

don't get me wrong, but i find the 70-200 sharp. just the nikkor equivalent sharper. and when wide open and focuses correctly it's sharp. just that when stopped down a little it's sharper.
and yes proper sharpening does help.
