Hello Guys!

Newbie here! Just a hobbyist, but aspiring to be an artist!!! :D

I'm reposting my question here that I posted on Pipho a week ago. Unfortunately, some stupid hacker wiped out several postings from Pipho, including my access. In short, I never got my answer.

I have been comparing Ken Rockwell and Thom Hogan's articles and reviews for quite sometime now. Both of them are sort of Nikon gurus. However, I'm a bit confused on some of their articles, esp. the reviews. It seems that they have different opinions that this lens is the bomb, while this lens suck.

IMHO, I prefer some of Thom's reviews rather than Ken. Thom is more, i should say... politically correct! And also, I used some of his Nikon techniques from his books (for the D70, some of the settings were right-on).

Could you give your opinions?

I usually prefer reading Thom's stuff. But Bjorn has great reviews on a lot of the legendary and exotic Nikkor lenses. Moose Peterson (http://www.moosepeterson.com/) is another Nikon user who specializes in wildlife photography.

Ken seems a bit more frank. But aren't they all? Because they all have a lot to share based on their rich experience. But let it be known that Ken isn't sponsored by and camera makers. He accepts donation for his "racket". That's why he seems to be perceived as "rude" and opinionated in some forums.
