hello,

just want to ask some assistance in solving some lighting problems...:D
im new to this kind of stuff..

im using 2 speedlights in experimenting, both are bare and pointed directly towards the model...

cross lighting
problem: shadows on the sides of the nose

clamshell
problem: shadows below the chin

...i cant remember the power settings, i think both speedlights had the same output...(i dont have pics to show, i wasnt using my cam, long story, i cant show pics, hope u can bare with me..sori..)

would umbrellas (shoot through, reflective?) address these problems? reflectors?
i dont have those yet, if they wil, i might consider purchasing...

thnx guys..:D

an umbrella would solve your misery with the shadow since it diffuses to soften the light and spread it spherically. try combining the white and silver/black umbrella and compare the result. hope this helps.
