May Photoshop Tip of the Month - Digital Infrared by Russ Burden (http://www.takegreatpictures.com/digital_infrared.fci)

Use this option hidden in the B&W adjustment layer in CS3 to convert your images to striking infrareds.

hmmmm.....

....it just makes photos too contrasty....its like applying a whacked out S-curve. beautiful infrared imagery can't be faked in photoshop, regrettably.

Ehehehehe... You have a point Jay! But we can't tell...

Photographer now a days are becoming more conscious using their Photoshop...

As what I heard/read... "What my camera can achieved my Software can achieved..." (Correct me if I'm wrong but forgot the line na kasi) hehehehe...

What the use of being a digital photographer without they're software....

Just a few cents...

hmmm....maybe not part of this topic...but here's my thoughts. digital photography and post-processing are two allied skills. one cannot be a good photographer without mastery of those two skills. that said, it is fallacious to assume or believe that one of those two skills can substitute or make up for a deficiency in the other to complete the whole (which is a becoming a good photographer). can't be dependent on one leg. we've seen this a lot...good photoshop skills but very unimaginative vision/camera/technical skills - results in images lacking inspiration. we've also encountered very talented lensmen who have little PS skill...and we can only sigh and shake our heads for the missed potential of their images.

photography and post-proccessing - two allied skills in the digital age.

i've yet to see a convincing infrared image done in photoshop alone. certain filters remain necessary.
