Mikko & Marz

This was my first official Pre Nuptial coverage. We started to shoot after lunch at around 1:30pm. I was wishing that the bright blue sky would peak to grace our photo session, yet it remained illusive.

So, here are my selected photos from the almost a thousand shots.
Please, don't hesitate to leave a word or two for the improvement of this fellow. Thanks!

the majority of the pics 1-6 are suffering from the panda look. i like the composition thereafter 7th onwards. for me no problem with exposure whatsoever infact i find it lovely. the couple in the first picture lacks balance i would say. majority of photographer would use a fill flash even on an overcast high noon.

over-all, this is a good way to start. please don't take my critic seriously since i haven't even done a first yet and my monitor is a bit dark.

you're a pastor? what church?

Hi Jerwin, Thanks for chiming in. I appreciate it very much, since I need inputs outside of my brain. Hehehe... Marlo calls me Pastor because my Bachelor was in Theology for SDA's, but now teaching Social Sciences. I have no idea what is "Panda Look" Any elaboration, please? TIA!

oh sorry i forgot to elaborate hehe. silly me. they call it that because the shadow forming in the eye because of high to overhead light source such as 12 o'clock noon sun. photographers find it a bit unflattering for the subject hence the fill flash.

you're not a pastor? i was already beginning to think you'd be officiating their marriage. haha. nice work!

I see... I checked Mr. Google on that term, and indeed, I noticed it too on those images. Wow! I learned something new...

Thank you for pointing that out. Next time, I will be careful on that and see to it that I can minimize, if not totally eliminate, that "Panda Look". Thanks again!

hi kuya jhe,

congrats on ur first prenup shoot. dnt know how exactly to constructively critique ur shots. ang dami eh!hehehhe. i believe that was all nicely done. but i notice that in some of the photos that the guy's face was too dark or has too much shadows. he has dark skintone so i believe that he needed some more lighting on his face. a reflector i think would have been extra useful. my 2 cents...

the models/newly weds were too small or too much to the background. a lil more of the body would have been better.

the groom's face was too dark and there was some clutter(a bag i think) behind the groom's legs. and also, better if both were barefeet so as the couple will have completely matching get-ups.

@ Carlo,

Thank you very much for the suggestion and comments. I learned a lot from the comments and suggestions here, that next prenup, I will try my best to do better.

I'd like to share the video slideshow, by the way:
