View Full Version : Nikkor 60mm Micro 2.8 problem :) Help please

Hi Fellow nikonians :)

I have this prob, Earlier this evening I tested out some lenses that i may get. They belonged to an uncle of mine who passed a year ago and I never really checked his lens collection. So I have a chance to get some of them for a price. I really liked the 60mm and 80-200 push pull. But the 60mm micro when focusing the aperture would follow. I'd set my cam on aperture priority and set it to 2.8 when i try to focus on something close it moves to f3.3. The 80-200 2.8 works fine so tonight was fruitful :)

Anyway I can remedy this? Is it fixable? :) Thanks for any inputs, suggestions, reactions and comments. :)

Marton, that's the normal behavior of a Nikkor Micro. :)

no. it's probably broken. i'll put you out of your lens misery for a generous amount of Php3,000. how about it?

Will do when I get the complete list :) Its mostly for film. AI lenses some leitz lenses + some leica bodies and nikon film bodies. :)

I'm in the market for some good Leica bodies!!!! Gimme gimme gimme!!!! Can you send me the pricelist too? Am also interested in AI lenses, particularly the wide/fast ones, and if the film bodies are Nikon - I'm interested. Seriously! Please let me know. Thanks.

Micro lnses change aperture as you focus only for close-ups though ....

hey I have an almost new FM3a would dispose either the black or the chrome w/ the 45 2.8P ......

Sir Gil... are you serious in disposing those pretty damn good lenses... 45mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.2, and 35mm f/1.4? Gumagana naman lahat 'yan sa digital bodies a... without the metering nga lang sa D70/70s... pero sa D200 swak na swak 'yan.

i also have a brand new 45mm f2.8 pancake lens , this lens is a real gem nice and small and discontinued. expect the value to soar in the near future

Earl... and daya mo... pasalamat ka 'andito ako sa Saudi, or else di mo na makikita ang 45mm lens na 'yan... watch-out, ma'm dindin is also in the lookout for a 35mm f/2 lens baka makita rin niya itong mga 45mm postings and consider it as another option.

Yes pre using it with my D200 also but need to get 2 lenses, the 17-35 and 70-200 VR.

the 45mm f2.8 is a pain to use though but if you get the focus right you will be blessed with good pics

Sa Pasko kita-kita tayo... sana may grand EB ang DPP sometime in December or January '07. Kita-kita tayo sa Sinulog (Cebu), Ati-atihan (Kalibo), and Dinagyang (Iloilo, where I live). Haaaayyy naku miss ko na talaga ang malamig na BEER habang nakikipag-street dancing sa mga ati-atihan warriors...

Yup sizzling tyan ng bangus and ice cold beer and having a nice pretty GRO beside you pre ....... we can forget photog for a while pag ganyan hehehe

The Tamron SP 90 can hold it's own this is as shot w/ D70 no PP .....

i also have a nikon 60mm, at first i thought that this was also a problem, but it wasn't. You won't regret getting the 60mm, i use it for macro and portraits
