I have an oly e330 and I was thinking of buying a canon or nikon 85mm 1.8 auto focus lens plus the adaptor... coz canon and nikon prime lenses are cheaper than zuiko.

Will auto focus work in my E330 with any of these lenses?

What are the pros and cons of this kind of setup?

hi john.. why did you say that zuiko lens are expensive... i just got mine for less that 20$ from ebay.. try to look sa ebay...

In this kind of setup (with adapter), AF won't work most of the time or some features of your cam are not compatible. But you can try before you purchase. And it's true mas cheaper sa ebay, check it out. If you want cheaper try Sigma 4/3 lens and you don't need an adapter anymore.

The short answer is no, these lenses won't work with AF. I'm not sure how useable the E330 viewfinder is in manual focus -- it's supposed to be dimmer than its predecessors because of Live View.

Digital Zuikos can be quite expensive but you're paying for high quality glass here.

Thanks for all your replies, Im glad I ask here first before thinking of doing this kind of setup.

Yes I know zuiko lenses are the best in the market that's why they are expensive to buy specially if new.

Btw, never tried in ebay.. bka mura nga ung lens but sa shipping naman ako mamulubi hehehe. Hope you guys can give some tips on how to transact and get a better deal in ebay. Im here in Singapore nga pala so if ever I'll ship it here.
